Luxemburg, le Lac de la Haute-Sûre

Farming, forestry and nature conservation go hand in hand in this unique nature reserve. Ariane Berends-Brouwer, inspired by its surroundings, tried to catch the beauty of this area in her oil paintings. This resulted in some of the finest pastoral landscapes.

Dutch landscapes

Being a Dutch artist at heart Ariane loves to paint the dunes, the sea and the polders of Holland. These miniature watercolours refer to the space and openness of the Dutch landscape.

Intrigued by the clear-obscure of the Scottish Highlands, Ariane made several studies of the Scottish light.

Een ander klassiek genre waarop Ariane zich toegelegd heeft, is het landschap. Haar landschappen zijn heel divers. Zij schildert niet alleen het weidse Hollandse polderlandschap en de duinen, maar ook de ruige Schotse hooglanden en de vriendelijke Luxemburgse Ardennen.
